Youth in Tkaronto
To participate in workshops for policies & land-based programs that support Toronto Youth.
Are you interested in paid experience learning to do research? Exploring Indigenous social movements like Land Back and Idle no More? Building relationships with other youth and community members?
Must be 14-18 years old.
Be a part of an exciting new virtual program for youth aged 14-18!
We are inviting you to participate in the Dreaming Youth Land Education Summer project where you will have the opportunity to design a youth land-based education program that shares your goals and dreams about being in good relation to land. By land education, we are referring to: (1) the learning that happens from being deeply connected to a place, and (2) paying attention to what is learned and experienced from intentional relations to land and waters.
In this virtual summer youth research program, the research activities will include making place-based audio recordings, podcasting, making concept maps, and having discussions in which you and other youth participants will be asked questions and will share stories or ideas about those questions.
